Filmmaker, activist and son of Michigan Michael Moore had presented himself to the media as the (very) unofficial poster celebrity for the Occupy movement, even appearing on CNN host Piers Morgan‘s program to discuss his ties to the protests as well as to vehemently deny that he’s a member of “the one percent” — an issue Morgan revisited when Moore made another appearance to once again discuss the movement.

...The Blaze is reporting that, while visiting New York City’s Zuccotti Park on Saturday, Moore was met with hecklers presumably upset over the fact that Bowling for Columbine director once owned stock in Halliburton, the oilfield services company whose name is, for some, closely associated with circling vultures and stray black cats yowling at an eerie harvest moon.

As Moore makes his way across the park, one rather loud young man can be heard shouting “make way for 50 million dollar Michael Moore, everyone!”

“Have your picture taken with 50 million dollar, Halliburton investing Michael Moore!” and “Michael, why did you invest in Halliburton?” are later heard.

Moore is such a hypocrite.

Instead of preaching about revolution, he should start one. He should take it upon himself to spread his wealth around and part with some of his tens of millions of dollars.

The time for city officials around the country to put an end to the Occupy Wall Street protests is long overdue.

The public should not have to put up with the crime and squalor and filth of the Occupation encampments.

Of course, Moore voiced his support for the Occupy Wall Street protesters.

Moore has made a mint from bashing capitalism, the height of hypocrisy.

I'm glad that Moore agreed to appear in a segment called "Barking Points." He had less opportunity to talk.

Ahmadinejad: 9/11 'Mysterious'

In his address to the UN General Assembly, Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad echoed much of what the Leftists have been saying for years.

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has gone on the warpath against the West at the United Nations again, sparking a mass walkout by outraged US and European delegations.

The Iranian leader accused the US of using the "mysterious" September 11 attacks as a "pretext" to invade Afghanistan and Iraq.

He also repeated comments casting doubt on the origins of the Holocaust and criticised the United States for killing Osama bin Laden rather than bringing him to trial.

European countries use the Holocaust as an excuse to pay "ransom to the Zionists", he said. The "diabolical" aims of the West are the cause of wars and the financial crisis, Ahmadinejad stormed.

In a repeat of walkouts at the United Nations and other international events in recent years, a US diplomat monitoring the speech in the UN General Assembly left halfway through the 20 minute discourse on Thursday.

The 27 European Union nations then followed in a coordinated protest move.

"Mr Ahmadinejad had a chance to address his own people's aspirations for freedom and dignity, but instead he again turned to abhorrent anti-Semitic slurs and despicable conspiracy theories," said US mission spokesman Mark Kornblau.

The German delegation said in a statement that it was protesting over the "crude, anti-American, anti-Israeli and anti-West tirade by the Iranian president".

And a French spokesman called Ahmadinejad's attacks "unacceptable".

So some UN delegations walked out on Ahmadinejad's speech. Big deal.

Prosser Brookfield Votes Reported Election Night

Dear JoAnne Kloppenburg, Kloppenburg supporters, Michael Moore, Tammy Baldwin, Leftist conspiracy theorists, and union thugs,

NO VOTES FOR JUSTICE DAVID PROSSER WERE "FOUND" IN BROOKFIELD.

THEY WERE REPORTED ON ELECTION NIGHT.

Will reality put to rest all the Left's wailing and gnashing of teeth over the outcome of Wisconsin's Supreme Court election?

Of course not.

Patrick McIlheran, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, writes:

The left is, understandably, upset that the victory they imagined JoAnne Kloppenburg to have was all a counting error by a Waukesha County functionary with a poor reputation. You can see where they’re thinking conspiracy – the reality is too painful for them to confront.

Media Trackers points out, however, that the accurate Brookfield vote count – not the zero that Kathy Nickolaus apparently included in preliminary results – was already reported publicly.

They were reported by Patch, the hyperlocal online news site, in this case by reporter Lisa Sink, who wrote on election night:

“As expected, Brookfield city voters ran up a good turnout in the state Supreme Court race and gave incumbent Justice David Prosser nearly 11,000 votes.

“Unofficial, unaudited results showed 76 percent of city residents who voted picked Prosser, with 24 percent voting for challenger JoAnne Kloppenburg.”

Those numbers fit the corrected numbers Nickolaus is citing now. In other words, they weren’t made up afterward.

It's really kind of sad that some on the Left are so out of touch with reality.

They are in denial. And the problem is they don't come out of it. They stay in denial. Nothing convinces them. Reality is irrelevant. If THE FACTS don't fit, the Leftists ignore them.

Gore defeated Bush. Kerry defeated Bush. Kloppenburg defeated Prosser.

Same old, same old.

Prosser, Kloppenburg, and Michael Moore

Consider this:

The Dane County Clerk's Office holds a press conference on Thursday to announce that the vote tally for a city had been omitted from the unofficial total released on Tuesday night.

The corrected tally includes 14,315 votes - 10,859 more votes for JoAnne Kloppenburg and 3,456 more votes for Justice David Prosser. Republicans involved in the canvassing vouch for the integrity of the process and the count.

It would be a dramatic turn of events. No question about it.

How would the Left react?

They wouldn't cry, "Call in the Feds."

They'd say, "This is what democracy looks like" and dance in the streets and bring out the drums.

They certainly wouldn't be calling for a federal investigation.

Kloppenburg would probably hold another press conference and yap about being "ecstatic."

Michael Moore, of course, would be singing the praises of the Dane County voters.

Instead, because the discovery of the vote tally error and the corrected total hurts union puppet Kloppenburg, Moore is throwing a fit.

He's calling on Obama to impound the ballots.



Moore and the band of Leftist lemmings are completely disregarding reality.

From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

"Wisconsin voters as well as the Kloppenburg (campaign) deserve a full explanation of how and why these 14,000 votes from an entire city were missed. To that end, we will be filing open records requests for all relevant documentation related to the reporting of election results in Waukesha County, as well as to the discovery and reporting of the errors announced by the county," Kloppenburg campaign manager Melissa Mulliken said in a statement.

Assembly Minority Leader Peter Barca (D-Kenosha) raised the possibility of an independent investigation over the recovery of the votes.

"This is a serious breach of election procedure," he said. "We're going to look further. She waited 24 hours to work this. And she waited until after she verified the results, making it that much more difficult to challenge and verify the results."

But at the news conference with Nickolaus, Ramona Kitzinger, the Democrat on the Waukesha County Board of Canvassers, said: "We went over everything and made sure all the numbers jibed up and they did. Those numbers jibed up, and we're satisfied they're correct."

As a Democrat, she said, "I'm not going to stand here and tell you something that's not true."

Waukesha County Executive Dan Vrakas, who sat in on Nickolaus' news conference, said voters can be confident in the results because "all the votes are in that office. If anyone wants to look at them and verify, they can."

Kristine Schmidt, the clerk in the city of Brookfield, said in a separate interview that she shared the results with the news media on election night.

She said she also sent the results twice to the county. After the first results were sent she said the county requested a second set of data because they wanted results tabulated in a certain format with fewer columns.

"We sent it to the county and called the county to make sure they got it," Schmidt said.

There should be a record that Brookfield's results were shared with the news media on election night. That should put this notion to rest that votes were "found."

Unfortunately, admitting that would require a sense of honor on the part of Kloppenburg and the Left. That's what's missing. That's what needs to be "found."

The fact that Dan Vrakas is inviting scrutiny should quell outrage on the Left, but it won't. They don't lose well. Tantrums are part of the routine.

Let the lawyers swoop in and examine the ballots. We don't have hanging chads and butterfly ballots here. Investigate. No problem.

However, there's no reason to involve the feds in our state election. I resent Moore's suggestion that the Obama administration should impound the ballots. This is not a national election. It's purely Wisconsin, our Supreme Court.

Then there's Ramona Kitzinger, a Democrat. Is she a liar? Michael Moore and the unhinged Leftists are completely disregarding her comments. She's an inconvenient player in this.

It's to be expected that Moore and company are flipping out. It was inevitable that they would smear Kathy Nickolaus. (I guess they'll have to smear Kitzinger, too.)

I just hope all the crazed rhetoric doesn't translate into Katherine Windels-style threats, or worse.

I'm sure Kathy Nickolaus is truly sorry. Why would she invite all the criticism and ridicule she's receiving? Does anyone really think she's enjoying this nightmare?

Certainly, it's a personal embarrassment. The poor woman must be a mess.

Given the current political climate and the thuggery exhibited by the unions and their minions, if I were Nickolaus, I'd be fearing for my safety.

What we absolutely must have in Wisconsin is confidence in our elections.

Human error will always be a possibility. Usually, it's not on such a grand scale as in this case, but mistakes happen. Mistakes were made in other counties as well.

What we can do is make it more difficult to commit voter fraud in Wisconsin. We need to have voter photo ID.

I wonder how many fraudulent Kloppenburg votes were cast in this race. Dozens? Hundreds? More?

Let's check every single same-day registration voter. Verify them. Investigate them.

Wisconsin has to stop being a haven for voter fraud.

Then maybe Michael Moore and the union bosses will take their hysterics and thuggery elsewhere.

MPS Residency Requirement

This is a little awkward.

Normally, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett and public sector union leaders are allies on issues.

When it comes to the residency requirement for MPS teachers, Barrett and the Milwaukee Teachers Education Association part ways.

From FOX 6:

State lawmakers held a hearing Wednesday to debate Senate Bill 34, a proposal that would drop the residency requirement for teachers in Milwaukee Public Schools. The rule got its start in 1978.

SB34 is supported by the Milwaukee Teachers Education Association. Union leaders say they simply want their members to be able to live wherever they wish.

Republican State Senator Alberta Darling believes eliminating the residency requirement would increase the pool of qualified teachers that MPS can recruit. Darling also says the residency requirement often puts families in a predicament. "There are many teachers who have husbands and wives in other professions and they need to live in different places for different reasons," said Darling.

Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett does not support the proposal. He says eliminating the residency requirement would have a detrimental impact on the city.

...Milwaukee and Chicago are the only two major cities in the United States with a residency requirement for its teachers.

Barrett insists that eliminating the residency requirement for public employees would decimate Milwaukee's tax base and the city would go the way of Detroit.

That would only be the case if Milwaukee were a place people would want to flee. If the city provides a good quality of life, it won't be affected by dropping the residency rule. Why would people leave? Why would they want to move away?

Democrat Barrett claims to be pro-choice, but he's not when it comes to supporting public employees' right to choose where they want to live, and certainly not when it comes to school choice.

There's something very strange about hearing the mayor of a city argue that if workers are not forced to live within its limits, then there would surely be a mass exodus.

He's saying that he knows the city is such a hellhole that workers would choose to leave Milwaukee if given the chance. Obviously, Barrett doesn't have faith in the city and he doesn't trust public employees. He's so certain that if a rule isn't in place to compel MPS employees to live in Milwaukee, they won't. Apparently, Barrett doesn't believe in the city. He finds it necessary to keep the wall in place that forces people to stay.

Have union leaders organized protests against Barrett because he's in favor of preventing city employees from having the right to choose where they want to live? Have they planned to show up at his home and march and chant? Where are the 'Barrett is Hitler' and 'Recall Barrett' signs? Are throngs of protesters wearing matching t-shirts, red-faced and angry, screaming "SHAME, SHAME, SHAME!" at Barrett?

When will Jesse Jackson show up and join with teachers to fight for their basic human right of choosing a place to live? When will Michael Moore come to Wisconsin to stand in solidarity with the public employees and rally them against Barrett?

Doing away with the residency requirement is really a civil rights issue. Barrett's opposition to granting workers the freedom to choose where they live is wrong.

Walker Saves 1500 Jobs

Governor Scott Walker is looking out for the middle class taxpayers of Wisconsin.

Gov. Scott Walker announced on Friday that he was rescinding layoff notices for 1,500 state workers after Wisconsin lawmakers approved his plan to cut collective bargaining rights and benefits for public employees. The approval, after nearly a month of angry demonstrations and procedural maneuvering, will create enough budget savings, Mr. Walker said, that layoffs will not be needed now.

The budget repair allows us to save 1500 state jobs. I notified the unions of the good news this AM.

I wonder if the unions and their minions see the Governor's ability to rescind the 1500 layoff notices as "good news."

I doubt it.

I wonder if Obama and Jesse Jackson and Michael Moore are pleased.

Gee, as I see it, rescinding layoff notices doesn't seem like denigrating and vilifying public employees.

Saving jobs and holding the line on taxes isn't an assault on the middle class.

Obama decided to comment on the vote in the Wisconsin Senate.

The White House is denouncing a vote by the Wisconsin Senate to strip nearly all collective bargaining rights from government workers, calling it an assault on public employees.

White House spokesman Jay Carney said President Barack Obama believes it is wrong for Wisconsin to use its budget troubles "to denigrate or vilify public sector employees."

Again, Governor Scott Walker and the Republicans are NOT denigrating or vilifying public sector employees.

They are dealing with an enormous budget deficit without burdening the already burdened taxpayers.

That's what we voted for. That's what we want them to do.

If Obama's going to comment, he should comment on the death threats and the vile rhetoric of elected Democrat officials and protesters.

It's disgraceful that Obama is silent about this ugliness when he supposedly is the champion of the new tone.

I can only conclude that the speech he gave in Tucson, his call to be civil, was a load of crap.

Death threats to Wisconsin Republicans for doing the job voters elected them to do are not cool.

Unfortunately, the threats are not surprising given the hysterical rhetoric and behavior of the elected Democrats in the Wisconsin Legislature. Such threats can be expected to follow given the Leftist media's coverage of events and statements from the likes of Michael Moore, declaring on MSNBC last night that "This is war!." It's not unusual for union thugs to resort to violence.

This is absolutely sick!

Union officials, Wisconsin Democrats, Democrats in Washington, and Obama should condemn this. Certainly, Rev. Jesse Jackson, in Madison today, should condemn this.

The best way for them to do that is not just with words but with actions, by conducting themselves in a civil and respectful manner.

And as you can see from the above Tweet, radical socialist millionaire Michael Moore is calling on his mindless minions to mob Madison, Wisconsin over the next couple of days when the Assembly will vote on final passage, which is assured with a Republican majority.

As an important side note, this is also a major victory for workers rights. After this bill passes, public workers will no longer be forced into unions and forced to pay union dues that go to politicians and causes they might disagree with. Does it get any more un-American than that?

...And so if you live anywhere near Madison, Wisconsin, and have access to a video camera of any kind, we urge you to head out there and document any and all violence and anything else that violates the standards created by the media and the Left for the Tea Party.

Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore urged Wisconsin residents Saturday to fight against Republican efforts to strip most public workers of their collective bargaining rights, telling thousands of protesters that "Madison is only the beginning."

The crowd roared in approval as Moore implored demonstrators to keep up their struggle against Republican Gov. Scott Walker's legislation, saying they've galvanized the nation against the wealthy elite and comparing their fight to Egypt's revolt. He also thanked the 14 state Democratic senators who fled Wisconsin to block a vote on the bill, saying they'll go down in history books.

"We're going to do this together. Don't give up. Please don't give up," Moore told the protesters, who have swarmed the Capitol every day for close to three weeks.

Moore is a millionaire many times over. He earned that money. He achieved that success. He didn't inherit it. He wasn't born into it.

How can Moore say that it's a lie to teach kids that anyone in America can become a millionaire? He's living proof it's not a lie.

Maher is living proof.

Obama is living proof.

They sound like such fools yapping about the American Dream being a lie when they've lived it.

They are so out of touch with their own realities.

The class warfare stuff disgusts me. We don't have a class system in this country. There aren't societal limits to people's achievements.

We determine our own destinies.

Rather than telling Obama to take off the pink tutu, put on the boxing gloves, and "fight for the people," meaning redistribute wealth, Moore should be telling people to dream big and work hard.

Dennis Miller and Jay Leno: Veterans Day - Video

Jay Leno has made it a tradition to devote the Tonight Show to members of the military on Veterans Day. The audience is made up entirely of men and women serving in the Armed Forces.

This year, Leno's guests were Kim Kardashian, Dennis Miller, and Soulja Boy.

Miller did stand-up for the first time ever on the Tonight Show. Even when he was Johnny Carson's guest, he never did stand-up on the program.

When Miller was winding down his monologue, he gave a heartfelt thank you to veterans and the military members in the audience.

Finland? Finland is the s--- little plastic village you set up under the Christmas tree once a year. The United States is the big, honkin' train that comes through and makes it all interesting. The best thing about living in Finland is they don't get Newsweek magazine.

MILLER: We got a transfer of power in the House. Now John Boehner took over. He got a little shaky the other night, turned into Tammy Faye Baker, breaking down three times like that. We're in the kill zone here, baby. You got to walk in, John. Don't go wobbly on me.

But we're still stuck with Pelosi who's thicker than a Charlie Sheen prenup. I can't believe she was the Speaker of the House. Every time I see Nancy Pelosi handling the gavel of the Speaker of the House, I feel like Charlton Heston waking up in the field and the chimp's on top of the pony, OK?

Every time she opened her mouth I would shake my head like you could blend paint colors in my body. I guarantee you that woman is crazy. She is bats--- crazy. I guarantee you that she sleeps upside down.

We don't, we don't really ever refer to them as... but we should start calling them Cleric Gingrich and Moolah Taliban Palin, or whatever. See how that fits. Because I think that their level of bigotry is so un-American and I just, I just, um, you know, here's my question to the 70 percent who don't want [the Ground Zero mosque] built there: They don't want it two blocks from Ground Zero so how far away is enough? Four blocks? Eight blocks? Where is the Muslim-free zone? Just give me the idea of where the parameter is.

BILL MAHER: Well, this guy Paladino, this guy Paladino said it -- wherever the cloud dust went.

MOORE: Yeah, well, you know, the sad thing about that, Bill, is that there were over 60 Muslim-Americans who perished in those towers.

MAHER: All right, it's a comedy show. Anyway, um, let me turn your question around and ask...

MOORE: The only way to get a Muslim-free zone there is for Palin to raise those Muslims up from the dead and then move them out of there because their ashes are still there on Ground Zero.

MAHER: Well, enough uh... Enough comedy.

MOORE: Hey, how about that McDonald's two blocks from Ground Zero, Bill? That's killed more people than the 19 hijackers.

America Has Blood On Its hands

IMAM FEISAL ABDUL RAUF: The complexity arises, sir, from the fact that from political problems and the history of the politics between the West and the Muslim world. We tend to forget, in the West, that the United States has more Muslim blood on its hands than al Qaida has on its hands of innocent non-Muslims.

You may remember that the US-led sanctions against Iraq led to the death of over half a million Iraqi children. This has been documented by the United Nations. And when Madeleine Albright, who has become a friend of mine over the last couple of years, when she was Secretary of State and was asked whether this was worth it, said it was worth it.

What complicates the discussion, intra-Islamically, is the fact that the West has not been cognizant and has not addressed the issues of its own contribution to much injustice in the Arab and Muslim world. It's a difficult subject to discuss with Western audiences but it is one that must be pointed out and must be raised.

How many of you have seen the documentary Fahrenheit 9/11? The vast majority, at least half here.

Suicide Bombers And Seventy-Two Virgins

QUESTION: I've heard what I'm sure is nothing other than a rumor, something along the lines of that Muslim men are told things like when you go to heaven there'll be a thousand virgins waiting for you. And that's why they're so...

I mean, I think it stems from the belief that there is something in the Koran or in the Muslim religion or culture that makes them more willing to go off and commit, you know, be suicide bombers or more willing to go off and fight in the Holy War.

I understood what you said about you thinking it was more driven by emotion than religion. I just wondered if there was anything at all. I certainly hear things like that and can't help but wonder if there is something about their religion or their culture that makes them more prepared to go off and die in the belief that they they will be closer to God or that, you know, it's such an amazing act that's maybe different for Christians or people of other religions.

RAUF: That's a very common question. In fact, just about two months ago I was interviewed by Barbara Walters, who is doing a special on heaven and she's interviewed suicide bombers who are expecting the embraces of 72 virgins in paradise, and she asked me, 'Do women get the same privilege as well?' And I answered her, telling her: 'Well, the Koran says you shall have whatever your heart desires.

RAUF: In studies that have been made by poltical historians of terrorism, defined as militancy against non-combatants and civilians, the point has been made by political historians that terrorism has been done ever since the beginning of time practically, since the time of the Romans for sure. And they were designed to achieve very specific target political objectives. And when we observe terrorism, whether it was done by the Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka or by al Qaida or whoever is behind the bombings in London or those in Madrid, we can see that they were target political objectives.
