But when Bill Maher jokes about Sarah Palin being shot? Silence, except for the raucous laughter of the studio crowd. Maher offered up his violent fantasy on this past Friday's "Real Time" on HBO in the "Exit Strategy" segment, devoted to exploring foreign countries to which people might consider moving in the event of a McCain victory. India was the subject of the week, which led to Maher's invocation of recincarnation, and his "hope" for how Sarah Palin would come back....BILL MAHER: Above all, India is a land of spiritual renewal, where many believe in recincarnation. And if there is such a thing as karma, let's hope that Sarah Palin comes back as a wolf being shot from a plane.
There are some things we, as civilized beings, don't do.
You don't yell "Fire!" in a crowded theater.
When on an airplane, you don't announce that you have a bomb.
And when talking about candidates for president and vice president, you don't say that one of the candidates should be shot.
Maher's remarks cannot be defended. They are proof of the Left's viciousness and the violence being directed at the Republican ticket, especially Sarah Palin.
Disgusting.
Obama must repudiate Maher's remarks. If McCain is responsible for everything said by his supporters, then Obama must be held to that same standard.

Wow, that's a stretch, even for you. The suggestion that, after Palin lives a long and healthy life, she might be reincarnated as a wolf that some zealous hunter might eventually hunt from an airplane, at some unspecified time in the distant future, is nothing like the violence being incited by the republicans against Obama in the here and now.
Your post demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of the concept of Karma. But worse than that, it amounts to a petty attempt to distract from the very real violence being targeted at Obama.
Nowhere on your site do you mention or condemn the effigy of Obama found hanging at a "christian" university last month, or the one found in Ohio last week, or the dead bear cub found shot in the head and covered in Obama signs found in North Carolina yesterday. Your wall of shame is shamefully silent regarding the recent comments by Michele Bachmann seeking a witch hunt of all "anti-Americans" in the government reminiscent of the discredited McCarthy hearings of yester-year.
Your silence, and the silence of every other republican, in the face of the ever growing threats against Obama is tantamount to approval and encouragement.

FIRST, there should be unconditional denouncement of Ahmadinejad's remarks. No wishy-washy, Dr. Phil-type analysis. None of that "Let's understand what makes them hate Israel and the U.S." stuff.
Ahmadinejad is a thug. Those buying into his philosophy are thugs. There should be zero-tolerance for Ahmadinejad's comments.

On a side note, being from Alaska and actually KNOWING the issue that we have with wolves, what would these bleeding heart liberals have us do? Is it more humane to trap a wolf and have them chew their foot off, or is it more humane to shoot them and have it be over with instantly? Libs just want the poor wolves to suffer in traps! We are doing them a justice by shooting them. And no, they aren't being hunted down and chased until they are tired. It is extremely difficult to shoot a wolf from a plane/helicopter, it's not as though there are thousands being killed a day. Ugh, I love when people not from Alaska - especially the Hollywood set - think they know all about what is going on up here. Sadly mistaken again....
