Contessa Brewer and Mo Brooks

Contessa Brewer, MSNBC, has yet another clip to add to her highlight reel.

Brewer, former TMJ4 reporter and anchor, is the gift that keeps on giving.

Video, from Breitbart:

Transcript

CONTESSA BREWER: You're simplifying the issues that were on the plate of the nation at that point. We were looking at going, reverting into a depression at that point. Everyone-- the Fed Chairman, the...

REP. MO BROOKS: Well, I disagree that we were going into a depression; but go ahead.

BREWER: Do you have a degree in economics?

BROOKS: Yes, ma'am, I do. Highest honors.

BREWER: OK, so... so, you disagree with the Fed Chairman, Ben Bernanke.

Oh, Contessa, you stepped in it - AGAIN!

What a fool!

Mo Brooks is no schlub.

Mo graduated from Duke University in three years with a double major in political science and economics, with highest honors in economics. In 1978, he graduated from the University of Alabama Law School.

Contessa Brewer and Tony Katz

MSNBC'a Contessa Brewer, former TMJ4 reporter and anchor, had a spirited discussion with Tony Katz, talk radio host.

Of course, Brewer was as Leftist and loony as ever. Katz schooled Brewer. No surprise there.

What's best about this segment is Katz's use of the term "racer" to describe those many Leftist individuals who insist that criticism of Obama must be rooted in race.

Video.

Transcript

TONY KATZ: But this whole idea of race, you know what? If there are birthers, and they're all crazy and silly for actually wanting to see a birth certificate, well let's talk about the "racers" - the people who believe that everything's a conspiracy about race. It's Obama's race that people want to see the birth certificate. It's Obama's race that people don't like the out of control spending. It's not his race. It's that he's awful. The policies are terrible.

Exactly. It's not about Obama's skin. It's about his policies and his miserable performance as president.

I love that term - RACERS.

Leftists, including Obama, have to realize that playing the race card is not effective.

Critics of Obama will not be silenced by being called racist. It's not going to work.

The racers are just as offensive as the birthers.

Racism exists. Falsely crying "racism" only serves to minimize the significance of actual instances of racism. That's a major step backward for everyone.

Contessa Brewer, MSNBC, and Living Green

MSNBC news anchor Contessa Brewer preaches about going green.

She promotes the position that government must get involved in forcing environmentalism on the people.

Video.

Transcript

CONTESSA BREWER: Everybody says in a survey, 'Oh, do you want to live greener? Do you personally care about the environment? Yes. Are you willing to spend 25 cents extra in a federal gas tax that would definitely help improve the use of fuel? Um, not so much.'

BREWER: I'm on the record saying that I care. And I mean, I have my own compost bin and I use biodegradable soaps and all of that kind of stuff, but research shows we can do that all we want but until government here, Susan, sets policy, until government says these are the standards that everyone has to aspire to, that we're not really making progress.

Sounds like Brewer is pushing an agenda, not serving as an objective news anchor.

What was that about MSNBC being a news operation and not a political operation?

Jesse Jackson and Contessa Brewer, Coffee and Tea

MSNBC's Contessa Brewer, formerly of Milwaukee's TMJ4, interviewed Jesse Jackson about Obama's strategy for the midterm elections, appealing to young black voters.

Video.

Transcript

JESSE JACKSON: There are more black voters than there are Tea Partiers. I mean, there's more coffee in the pot than there is tea in the cup.

"Coffee in the pot"?

That's inappropriate rhetoric. It's racially offensive. It's divisive.

No conservative could get away with that.

Brewer, of course, doesn't have a meltdown over Jackson's remarks. I'm sure she would have slammed a conservative for saying the same thing.

Speaking of Jackson and Brewer, remember this shining moment for Brewer from one year ago?

CONTESSA BREWER: Joining me now to talk about this and the nation's real problem of joblessness, the Rev. Al Sharpton.

What's you're reaction to hearing someone say, you know, 'When it comes to income inequality, all's well; the rising tide floats all boats'?

JESSE JACKSON: Uh... I'm Rev. Jesse Jackson.

BREWER: Right. I don't... You know, I'm so sorry. The, uh, the script in front of me said Rev. Al Sharpton. I'm looking at your face. I know who you are, Rev. Jackson. We all do. I'm sorry.

Contessa Brewer as Ron Burgundy!

Priceless.

Jackson really looked pissed. And Brewer acted like such a dolt, blaming the script. A news professional would have corrected the script.

I bet Jackson isn't mistaken for Sharpton on FOX News.

Contessa Brewer: Islamic Ties, Faisal Shahzad

We know that Contessa Brewer, former TMJ4 reporter and anchor, was born to work at MSNBC. She's perfect. She has loony liberal views combined with an inability to speak intelligently.

Her highlight reel is growing.

The latest:

Brewer feels sorry that the Times Square car bomber turned out to be an Islamic terrorist, allegedly. She wishes the responsible party would have been, oh, I don't know, probably a white guy who goes to Tea Party events.

I don't feel Brewer's pain, AT ALL.

Video.

Transcript, from NewsBusters:

CONTESSA BREWER: I mean the thing is that- and I get frustrated and there was part of me that was hoping this was not going to be anybody with ties to any kind of Islamic country because there are a lot of people who want to use this terrorist intent to justify writing off people who believe in a certain way or come from certain countries or whose skin color is a certain way. I mean they use it as justification for really outdated bigotry. And so there was part of me was really hoping this would not be the case that here would be somebody who is not the defined. I mean he’s accused, he’s arrested you know I don’t want to convict him before it’s time to do so. He’s the guy authorities say is involved. But that being said, I mean, we know even in recent history you have the Hutaree militia from Michigan who have plans to, let’s face it, create terror. That’s what they were planning to do and they were doing so from far different backgrounds than what this guy is coming from. So, the threat is not just coming from people who decide that America is the place to be and you know come here and want to become citizens. And obviously this guy did.

More, from NewsBusters:
BREWER: What’s interesting is you know we’re seeing within the boundaries of the United States it’s the people that they’re arresting seem to be you know- these loners, in some ways. I mean, the underwear bomber had obviously been sent. There was a network behind him. But, they’re guys who are, I don’t know, isolated some ways from their families. It will be interesting when we hear what is the background of Faisal Shahzad as we are, you know, of course our NBC crews are on that and looking onto more background there. We’ll find out more. Were there failed family ties? Did he have a strong community network here in the United States? Did he feel isolated?

Good grief.

Why would anyone serve as an apologist for a terrorist, someone who set out to murder innocent Americans?

Brewer is really a disgrace.

She's getting a lot of attention today. She deserves it.

Here's a Facebook posting by Brewer, commenting on the uproar over her remarks:

I'm getting flak for expressing disappointment during a radio intvw, that the NYC bomb suspect has links to Pakistan. I wasn't hoping the suspect would be of a particular nationality, race, or religion. Instead, I worry ppl will use this to justify racism & religious bigotry. Mayor Bloomberg is concerned enough to say:... I want to make clear we will not tolerate bias or backlash against Pakistani or Muslim New Yorkers.

Brewer is too clueless to understand why her comments are so detestable.

As I said, she's perfect for MSNBC.

Ed Schultz: Dick Cheney's Heart

MSNBC has so many disgraces: abysmally low ratings, Contessa Brewer, Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, and Ed Schultz.

Schultz seems to be competing with Olbermann for the title of looniest host on the network.

Due to the Winter Olympics, Schultz's program on MSNBC is being preempted.

The Ed Show will not air February 24-26 due to msnbc's coverage of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games. It will return Monday, March 1.

In spite of temporarily losing his MSNBC platform, Schultz still manages to be as ugly as he wants to be on his syndicated radio show.

Audio, from Breitbart and Gateway Pundit.

Transcript, from The Radio Equalizer:
SCHULTZ (01:59): I just want all of you to know that I get my entertainment through NewsBusters. (laughs, then in mincing voice)

How dare the Democrats make fun of Dick Cheney's heart problems and turn it into a political football. (back to normal voice, to the extent possible) I can just hear some little weasel who's writing that at NewsBusters. You're my entertainment.

Bozell, Bozell and his bozo crew. You're damn right, Dick Cheney's heart's a political football. We ought to rip it out and kick it around and stuff it back in him. I'm glad he didn't tip over. He is the new poster child for health care in this country.

SCHULTZ (04:38): And we want Shooter to make it. Hell, we hope he goes and shoots somebody else in the face. That was a helluva story way back when.

SCHULTZ (05:26): How come Dick Cheney's health care isn't being dropped? Do you realize that if you had five heart attacks, hell, you wouldn't get past two heart attacks and they'd dump you.

But because you're a war criminal and because you are on the take from Haliburton and you had these executive meetings in 2001 back in the, you know, the days of the rolling blackouts and executive privilege on how we're going to develop energy policy in this country, you do stuff like that, hell, you can get the best health care on the face of the earth.

Good Lord. How disgusting! This is truly awful.

Schultz has really gone too far this time. He's sick.

Why does MSNBC employ someone like Schultz?

Contessa Brewer: Global Warming Snow Job

Former TMJ4 reporter/anchor Contessa Brewer, MSNBC's self-proclaimed know-it-all and climate expert, explains that the mountains of snow burying so much of the nation do not refute the alleged mountains of alleged evidence confirming the alleged reality of man-made global warming.

Meterologist Raphael Miranda tries to be fair and balanced, but Contessa dismisses his remarks. She calls him out for "playing it right down the middle."

Miranda should know that "playing it right down the middle" is not how they roll at MSNBC.

Video.

Transcript

CONTESSA BREWER: Hey, I've gotta ask you, uh, South Carolina Republican Jim DeMint was on Twitter and using this D.C. snowstorm to make a political jab, saying that it provides... Well, here it is: He says the snow will continue 'until Al Gore cries uncle.'

He's basically making this argument against global warming 'cause they've had so much snow in Washington D.C. Is this, does this have anything to do with global warming?

RAPHAEL MIRANDA: Well, it's an interesting point. Global warming skeptics love to say, 'Oh, it's snowing. What happened to global warming?' But there is a school of thought that says global warming will provide more moisture to the atmosphere, which will allow for bigger snowstorms like this one. So really, it depends on which school of thought you attest to, but it could go either way.

BREWER: You're, you're playing it right down the middle.

MIRANDA: Right.

BREWER: But I, you know, I was taught that... we're taking about climate change here and more severe weather. So I'm not sure that a lot of snow refutes all the evidence to the contrary. Raphael, thanks.

EVIDENCE to the contrary?

She must be kidding.

Contessa says, "I was taught...."

Who "taught" her?

In any event, Contessa is convinced that she knows the truth. Global warming/climate change is the cause of the snowstorms pummeling D.C.

Case closed.

Contessa fits in so well at MSNBC.

Contessa Brewer and Judd Gregg

Senator Judd Gregg, Republican from New Hampshire, takes MSNBC's Contessa Brewer to school.

From Media Research Center:

On the soon-to-be canceled ‘It’s the Economy’ program on MSNBC on Thursday, co-host Contessa Brewer grilled Republican New Hampshire Senator Judd Gregg on his calls to reduce out-of-control government spending: “Which programs are you willing to cut? Are you willing to tell schools, no money for you?” Gregg shot back: “What an absurd statement to make. And what a dishonest statement to make.”

MRC provides the full transcript of the segment here.

Leno: Contessa Brewer, Jesse Jackson Joke

JAY LENO: An MSNBC anchor, Contessa Brewer, made an embarrassing mistake on the air last week. She called Jesse Jackson 'Al Sharpton.' Oh, yeah.

Even worse than that, after he told her, 'I'm Jesse Jackson,' she said, 'Oh, you're the one between Jermaine and Tito.'

MSNBC Bashes Republicans on Olympics

NewsBusters reports that MSNBC had a Monday morning Republican/conservative bash fest related to Chicago's rejection as host of the 2016 Olympics.

Video.

Transcript

DYLAN RATIGAN: Some Republicans and conservatives celebrating Obama’s failed attempt to bring the 2016 Olympics to Chicago. Down with Chicago! Contessa Brewer has the latest.

CONTESSA BREWER: Can you imagine this that some people actually went as far as to cheer?

RATIGAN: Sure. I mean, there are people that are actually trying to derail health care in order to take down Obama, even if it means half the country dies. So, of course, they don't care about Chicago’s Olympics. Are you kidding me?

BREWER: I have to say, I think it's actually pathetic that when the International Olympic Committee announces Chicago gets eliminated first round and then we get this video. It was obtained by Hotline. Just watch.

UNIDENTIFIED WOMAN: They were out on the first vote.

[Cheers erupt.]

BREWER: That applause was from some members of Americans for Prosperity, one of the main conservative groups involved in the tea party protests. And, of course, Rush Limbaugh is also weighing in on the President's setback.

RUSH LIMBAUGH: Folks! Worse day of his presidency! This is the guy who is going to talk Iran into giving up its nukes! Barack Hussein Obama, mmm, mmm, mmm!

PAUL KRUGMAN: Here is what New York Times columnist Paul Krugman had to say about the conservative reaction. Quote, "We learned that the modern conservative movement, which dominates the modern Republican Party, has the emotional maturity of a bratty 13-year-old."

Good grief.

"We learned that the modern conservative movement, which dominates the modern Republican Party, has the emotional maturity of a bratty 13-year-old."

That's insane. It's desperate spin.

Contessa Brewer, MSNBC, White People, and Guns

Greg Gutfeld wonders if MSNBC wants a race war.

I'm not sure about that. However, I do think MSNBC is leaning way to the Left in an effort to get higher ratings than the TV Guide Network.

This much is certain: MSNBC is a disgrace and Contessa Brewer is more than a bit unhinged.

The always entertaining yet insightful Gutfeld writes:

So on Tuesday, we did a segment on this black dude who showed up in Arizona where Barack Obama was speaking – with an assault weapon and a pistol strapped to his shoulder. We all pretty much agreed, that despite his actions being legal, it was still idiotic. There are many things in life that are legal, but totally nuts if done at the wrong time. For example, when I shower I’m completely naked – no law against that. However, try showing up nude at a Jonas Brothers lunch box signing – that’s another story (I blame it on the Ambien).

Yes, there's no need to show up at an Obama event armed with guns. Very bad move.

Similarly, a 40-something male should not show up nude at a Jonas Brothers lunch box signing.

Bad idea.

But this leads me to MSNBC, where on Tuesday Contessa Brewer – someone I’d like to see in a shower - filed a report about health care protesters showing up armed. In it, she used tape of that same black man carrying an assault rifle and said “there are questions about whether this has racial overtones….white people showing up with guns.”

Of course, like I said – the guy was black. But you never would have known. Because MSNBC has strategically edited the tape, so the race of the armed dude wasn’t revealed. You just assumed he was white, thanks to Contessa.

Take a look at the tape from the MSNBC segment:

Once again, Contessa Brewer has made a complete fool herself.

She made a truly racist statement.

Here's video of the armed black man, uncropped by MSNBC.

Gutfeld continues:
How awesome is that? Anyway, later, pop culture analyst Toure added that there is “anger about a black president being president,” again ignoring that the armed man was black.

So why deny this salient fact?

Because it didn’t fit the story MSNBC wanted to tell: that if you disagree with Obama, you must be a white crazy person with guns.

Even if you’re black!

MSNBC is not a credible news outlet. I know I'm stating the obvious. But I do think that this latest incident is particularly significant.

It bolsters the argument that MSNBC has an agenda that is not only Leftist but also racial in nature. Shameless.

Gutfeld concludes:

Look - there were millions of people angry at Bush - and the media never seemed to worry if their own vicious anti-Bush rhetoric would foment hate. Worse, the idea that every angry person is a potential assassin just makes it harder to deal with the real threats. I also resent that my opinion, enraged or not, can be dismissed as racism. Fact is I’ve been against Obama’s policies back when they were Hilary’s policies, and even before that, when they were Ted Kennedy’s and Jimmy Carter’s. Wrongheadedness knows no color, which is why my shorty robes only come in Topaz.

That's what bugs me, the hypocrisy.

So many of these people now crying foul about individuals expressing their anger with Obama's policies were the one's cheering on George W. Bush haters.

It really pisses me off when the likes of Contessa Brewer and Chris Matthews bring race into the debate.

I vehemently oppose Obama's health care policies.

That has absolutely nothing to do with the shade of his skin.

Contessa Brewer and Zach Lahn

MSNBC's Contessa Brewer, former TMJ4 reporter and weekend anchor, has had another funny meltdown of sorts.

Read about Brewer's bizarre interview with John Ziegler, June 2009.

Brewer runs her show with an iron fist.

Watch her interview with University of Colorado senior Zach Lahn, the student who challenged Obama to an Oxford-style debate on the public option.

ZACH LAHN: I have one question. Can I ask you a question?

CONTESSA BREWER: No, because I'm the interviewer and that's the end of my show. People in the next hour get very mad when I get..., when I go over my time. That wraps up this hour for me. I'm Contessa Brewer.

Brewer's arm movements at the end are hilarious.

Needless to say, Brewer's debating skills and her command of the issues aren't great.

Clearly, she wanted out of the interview. In the time she took to explain herself, she could have allowed Lahn to make a final point.

Nonetheless, don't mess with Tess.

She's the interviewer.

MSNBC is the gift that keeps on giving.

Contessa Brewer and John Ziegler

MSNBC's Contessa Brewer, formerly of TMJ4, really lost it when she was interviewing John Ziegler about the David Letterman - Sarah Palin wars.

From the very beginning, Ziegler got under Brewer's skin. He kept throwing in shots about MSNBC as the Obama network, legitimate shots.

We learned that Brewer has been called slutty, but not by Letterman. Being called slutty didn't bother Brewer. No big deal.

However, Brewer couldn't handle Ziegler's comments about MSNBC and NBC. Bizarre.

It ended with Brewer calling for Ziegler's mic to be cut off. Not exactly very professional.

Carrie Prejean and David Shuster

MSNBC's David Shuster reacts to Donald Trump's announcement that Miss California Carrie Prejean will keep her crown. He slams what Carrie Prejean said at the news conference.

"Can I vomit right now?"

MSNBC's Contessa Brewer contends that the attention the controversy has received provides a good jumping off point to discuss same-sex marriage.

Shuster disagrees.

DAVID SHUSTER: Can I vomit right now? I mean, literally, can I vomit?

No, you may not literally vomit right now.
SHUSTER: Doesn't this represent everything that is wrong with the superficial nature of these pageants?

...The only jumping off point is jumping off the cliff if you really believe that people at these pageants have anything worthwhile to say to the rest of us. If you really believe that, then that's your jumping off point; and I suggest you jump off the cliff, 'cause this as superficial as you will ever see. It's ridiculous. It's crazy. Look, it's a great sideshow. It's entertaining. It makes a great TV, a great conversation, but let's be clear about what it is and what it's not.

That's a very sweeping generalization for Shuster to make. Why trash everyone who's been involved in a pageant?

Some contestants end up holding political office, such as Republican Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska and Democrat Governor Jennifer Granholm of Michigan.

Allow me to alter Shuster's comments a bit:

The only jumping off point is jumping off the cliff if you really believe that people at MSNBC have anything worthwhile to say to the rest of us. If you really believe that, then that's your jumping off point; and I suggest you jump off the cliff.

Carrie Prejean, Donald Trump, and Free Speech

Miss California Carrie Prejean fires back.

She says, "This should not happen in America."

She's right.

Transcript

MISS CALIFORNIA CARRIE PREJEAN: I am proud to be an American. I'm proud of the freedoms we enjoy because of the brave men and women serving this great country and who have served.

My grandfather served under General Patton during World War II, and is someone I admire greatly. He never spoke about the Battle of the Bulge that he participated in as a rifleman, or the honorary medals he received because of his bravery. But he did speak about the freedoms he fought for and taught me to never back down. And never let anyone take those freedoms away from you.

On April 19, on that stage, I exercised my freedom of speech. And I was punished for doing so. This should not happen in America.

It undermines the constitutional rights for which my grandfather fought for.
Very well said.

I give credit to Donald Trump for refusing to bow to those very vocal people and groups that have mercilessly attacked and slandered Carrie Prejean for taking the same stand on gay marriage as Obama.

New York (AP) -- Miss California USA can retain her crown even though she failed to reveal she had posed in her underwear as a teenager, pageant owner Donald Trump said Tuesday.

Carrie Prejean appeared by Trump's side as he made the announcement at New York's Trump Tower. Trump also defended the answer that Prejean gave at last month's Miss USA pageant when she was asked her view of marriage by judge Perez Hilton, a celebrity blogger. She said she believes marriage is between a man and a woman.

"It's the same answer the president of the United States gave; it's the same answer many people gave," Trump said. "She gave an honorable answer; she gave an answer from her heart."

Trump said he and other pageant officials had reviewed racy photos of Prejean and decided they were acceptable.

"We are in the 21st century. We have determined the pictures taken are fine," he said, adding that "in some cases the pictures were lovely."
That's the second good decision Trump has made this week, the first being when he fired Annie Duke and chose Joan Rivers to be the winner of Celebrity Apprentice.

More video of the Donald Trump - Carrie Prejean press conference here.
