Elon Musk and Child Exploitation on Twitter

The Democrats/Marxists/Leftists keep on insisting Elon Musk is turning Twitter into a hellscape of abuse.

That's false.

It's good to stand up for abused children and refuse to enable the perverts exploiting them.

Thanks, Elon!

Podesta Gave Away His Password

We've known this for months. John Podesta allowed his email account to be hacked. He offered access to his information because he screwed up and his staff screwed up.

in addition, the guy's password was "password"!

From FOX News:

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange told Fox News' Sean Hannity in an exclusive interview that a teenager could have hacked into Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta's computer and retrieved damaging email messages that the website published during last year's election campaign.

"We published several ... emails which show Podesta responding to a phishing email," Assange said during Part I of the interview, which aired on "Hannity" Tuesay night. "Podesta gave out that his password was the word ‘password’. His own staff said this email that you’ve received, this is totally legitimate. So, this is something ... a 14-year-old kid could have hacked Podesta that way."

...Wikileaks published more than 50,000 emails detailing dubious practices at the Clinton Foundation, top journalists working closely with the Clinton campaign, key Clinton aides speaking derisively of Catholics and a top Democratic National Committee (DNC) official providing debate questions to Clinton in advance.

Assange has repeatedly denied claims by the Obama administration that Russia was behind the cyberattacks that exposed the DNC and Podesta emails. Assange has repeatedly insisted that Wikileaks' source for the emails was not the Russian government or any "state party," and said the outgoing administration was attempting to "delegitimize" President-Elect Donald Trump by making those claims.
When it comes to Podesta, he granted access to his account.

That was not some sort of sophisticated cyberattack. It was his mistake.

When it comes to the Obama administration's claim that the Russian government was behind the hacking alleged to influence the election, there's something that doesn't make sense.

Why would Russia want Trump to be president? It certainly seems it would have been in Russia's interests to have Hillary Clinton, an appeaser, be elected and continue the dreadfully misguided and weak Obama foreign policy.

Trump has promised to rebuild our military. Why would Russia want that?

Jimmy Fallon: DNC Hack, Cozy Bear and Fancy Bear Jokes

JIMMY FALLON: I read that the Democratic National Committee was actually hacked because one of its directors clicked on a fake email to change his password, which gave Russia access to his account. Then Hillary said, 'I can't believe you'd be so careless with your email.'

I guess Hillary Clinton's campaign chairman John Podesta also clicked on a link that gave Russia his email password. He knew he made a big mistake when this popped up on his screen. [Putin's face on a cat with a rainbow trail, Nyan Cat.] Putin Cat. Putin Cat.

It turns out that two separate Russian hacking groups, named Cozy Bear and Fancy Bear, were targeting, were targeting the D... I know, I know. Cozy Bear and Fancy Bear, they were targeting the DNC. It's confusing because Cozy Bear and Fancy Bear are also Trump and Putin's nicknames for each other. [Trump voice] 'What ya up to, Cozy Bear?' [Putin voice] 'Just thinking about you, Fancy Bear.' [Trump voice] 'You hang up.' [Putin voice] No, you hang up.' [Trump voice 'You hang up.'

Get this, when an FBI agent first contacted the DNC to tell them that they had been hacked, the person who took the call thought it was a prank. Yeah. 'It happens more than you think,' said FBI agent Seymour Butz.

Spirit Cooking and John Podesta

Oh, my God.

SPIRIT COOKING?

So creepy.

It makes sense that John Podesta would be into this weird, dark stuff.

Even SPIRIT COOKING is nothing compared to the ghoulish, horrific practice of partial-birth abortion, supported by Hillary Clinton and her team.

Hillary Campaign Coordinated With State Department

From FOX News:
A State Department official appeared to coordinate with Hillary Clinton's campaign team hours before the former secretary of state's exclusive use of private emails was first detailed in a news account last year, newly released hacked emails show.

Emails from the files of Clinton's campaign chairman John Podesta show that the department official provided Clinton aides with the agency's official response to a New York Times reporter in advance of the newspaper's March 2015 report that Clinton had used a private email account to conduct all of her work-related business as secretary.

The stolen emails were released Wednesday by WikiLeaks, part of a massive trove of emails released by the document-leaking group on a daily basis since last month. WikiLeaks has indicated it intends to leak emails stolen from Podesta's account every day through the election.

In a March 1, 2015 email, State Department press aide Lauren Hickey told Clinton's team that then-State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki had "just cleared" a reply to the Times. Hickey provided the agency's response to the Clinton aides and also appeared to agree to a change requested by the campaign, saying: "Yes on your point re records - done below." It is not clear what specific change was requested and made.
When will the Never Trump "conservatives" realize that opposing the Republican nominee, meaning electing Hillary, is an immoral choice? When will they quit ignoring all this stuff showing Hillary to be utterly unfit to be president of the United States?

ANSWER: Never.

John Podesta: 'Dump All Those Emails'

Hillary and her team are corrupt and, perhaps, criminals.

She is unfit to serve as president of the United States.

The only way to keep her out of the Oval Office is to vote for Trump. That is the principled choice.

Obama and Hillary's Private Server: 'We Need to Clean This Up'

More sleaze. More lies.

From the New York Times:

In a March 2015 interview, President Obama said that he had learned about Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server as secretary of state “the same time everybody else learned it, through news reports.”

But that assertion concerned aides of Mrs. Clinton, who knew that the president himself had received emails from the private address, according to a hacked email made public on Tuesday by WikiLeaks.

“We need to clean this up — he has emails from her — they do not say state.gov,” Cheryl D. Mills, a top aide, wrote to John D. Podesta, another senior adviser, on March 7, 2015.

Two days later, Mr. Obama’s spokesman, Josh Earnest, tried to clarify the president’s remarks, saying that he had, in fact, exchanged emails with Mrs. Clinton through her private account. But Mr. Earnest suggested that the president had no idea the emails could be a problem because he had relied on Mrs. Clinton to make sure that using a private account did not break any laws.

“The point that the president was making is not that he didn’t know Secretary Clinton’s email address — he did — but he was not aware of the details of how that email address and server had been set up, or how Secretary Clinton and her team were planning to comply with the Federal Records Act,” Mr. Earnest said on March 9.

...The email exchange made public on Tuesday highlighted how the issue was quickly viewed with deep concern not only for Mrs. Clinton, but also for her political ally and former boss, the president.

The release also followed months of Republican arguments that the Obama administration had coordinated with the Clinton campaign to limit the damage from the emails, up to and including the Justice Department’s decision this summer not to prosecute her.

Hillary is so lucky.

She is drowning in scandals but it doesn't matter at all.

She has the media in her pocket.

Cleaning up?

No problem.

There's nothing to worry about if the people aren't informed of the reality, if the media don't highlight the truth about Hillary and Obama.

Obama is a liar. Hillary is a liar. The media are OK with that. Never Trump people are OK with that, too.

It's all very clean. So very, very clean.

Wikileaks, Podesta, and Media

What's truly unfortunate is that Republicans/conservatives are too busy hating on each other and engaging in finger-pointing, with a large faction freakishly obsessing over Trump, rather than focusing on the Hillary/Democrat corruption.

It is insane. It's a death wish.

Democrats, Lobbyists: Weekend at Ritz Carlton South Beach Resort

The Democrats are hypocrites.

From Politico:

Twelve Democratic Senators spent last weekend in Miami Beach raising money from top lobbyists for oil, drug, and other corporate interests that they often decry, according to a guest list for the event obtained by POLITICO.

The guest list for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee's "winter retreat" at the Ritz Carlton South Beach Resort doesn't include the price tag for attendance, but the maximum contribution to the committee, typical for such events, is $30,000. There, to participate in "informal conversations" and other meetings Saturday, were senators including DSCC Chairman Robert Menendez; Michigan's Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow; Bob Casey of Pennsylvania; Claire McCaskill of Missouri; freshmen Kay Hagan of North Carolina and Mark Begich of Alaska; and even left-leaning Bernie Sanders of Vermont.

Across the table was a who's who of 108 senior Washington lobbyists, including the top lobbying officials for many of the industries Democrats regularly attack: Represented were the American Bankers Association, the tobaco company Altria, the oil company Marathon, several drug manufacturers, the defense contractor Lockheed, and most of the large independent lobbying firms: Ogilvy, BGR, Quinn Gillespie, Heather Podesta, and Tony Podesta.

Here's the guest list.

Politics as usual.

Obama promised to change the way things are done in Washington.

What a joke!

Kevin Jennings: Fisting

Given all the revelations that have come to light, I do not understand how Kevin Jennings, founder of Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), can be Obama's Safe Schools Czar.

Early in fall, some very disturbing stuff about Jennings was discussed.

Kevin Jennings, Safe Schools Czar - Advice to Teen (Audio)

Kevin Jennings, 'Romeo and Juliet' - Audio

Kevin Jennings, Kindergarten Curriculum - Audio

Kevin Jennings: Gay-Only Schools, Racists

Of all the people in the country, I sincerely don't understand why someone as radical and dangerous as Jennings has been tapped to be the Safe Schools Czar.

Sex between a child and an adult is not OK. It's against the law. Period.

So how can Obama allow someone like Jennings to be his SAFE SCHOOLS CZAR?

I suppose the Obama administration is being pressured by special interest groups to stand by Jennings, but this has really become too much.

It's important to make the distinction that opposition to Jennings has nothing to do with opposing gay rights. This is about extremism. Jennings' sexual orientation is irrelevant. What's at issue is the radical and, in some cases, illegal agenda that Jennings pushes.

For days, Big Government and Jim Hoft have been exposing a workshop at a 2000 conference sponsored by Jennings' organization that promoted the practice of "fisting" to 14-year-olds.

[I]t was discovered that Kevin Jennings’ organization GLSEN sponsored a youth conference at Tuft’s University in March 2000. This conference was fully supported by the Massachusetts Department of Education, the Safe Schools Program, the Governor’s Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth, and some of the presenters even received federal money. An undercover journalist with Mass Resistance was at the conference and recorded a couple of the workshops. During one of the conference workshops an activist asks 14 year-old students, “Spit or swallow?… Is it rude?” This audio clip segment is also posted here.

That’s not all. The conference also included a workshop where GLSEN activists promoted “fisting” to 14 year olds. Here is the shocking clip where the activists promoted “fisting” to the students:

Jim Hoft's previous posts on Kevin Jennings and Fistgate can be found here, at Gateway Pundit.

Today, there's audio of an interview of a teacher who attended the controversial Fistgate conference.

Hoft writes:

After years of silence a traumatized Massachusetts teacher spoke out in an interview about what she witnessed at GLSEN’s Fistgate Conference in 2000. She also describes Barack Obama’s Safe Schools Czar Kevin Jennings’ role at the infamous conference that discussed “fisting” and “watersports” with children.

The Massachusetts teacher in this interview attended the conference and actually took the photo of Obama’s Safe School Czar Kevin Jennings sitting and holding a conference program during a break. Jennings was the keynote speaker at the conference.

The teacher claims that there is “no way” that Obama’s Safe School Czar did not know about the pornographic and sexually explicit material that was presented and discussed at the conference.

Here's the audio:

Enough!

Kevin Jennings should step aside immediately or Obama should remove him as his Safe Schools Czar.

ACORN Scandal: San Diego

More. Yes, there's more.

A worker at a fifth ACORN office, this one in San Diego, offers assistance to a "pimp" and a "prostitute" looking to set up a business.

From FOX News:

On the same day that the anti-poverty group ACORN announced the launch of an "internal review" after four undercover videos exposed its workers offering advice on how to skirt federal laws, a fifth video surfaced that purports to show a worker offering to help bring underage girls into the U.S. for the purposes of prostitution.

The latest video was filmed in San Diego by conservative activist James O'Keefe, 25, and partner Hannah Giles, 20, who posed as a pimp and prostitute as they did in their previous undercover stings.

In the latest video, O'Keefe asked the man if Tijuana is the best place to bring the girls to cross over into the U.S.

The man replied "yes," because he has a lot of contacts there who can assist in bringing them across the border.

In another part of the video, the man asked O'Keefe how much he charges for Giles' services.

"Are you a potential client?" O'Keefe asked.

"No, no. I want to know," the man said. "How...what is it?"

...ACORN announced it is ordering an independent investigation. ACORN will work with its advisory council, which includes prominent supporters of President Obama, such as John Podesta, president of the nonprofit Center for American Progress, and Andrew Stern, president of the Service Employees International Union, to name an indepedent auditor and investigator, ACORN chief executive Bertha Lewis said in a written statement.

The investigation will examine all the systems and processes called into question by the video, Lewis said.

In addition, ACORN won't accept new admissions into its community service programs, effective immediately, and within the next few days will conduct staff training, she said.

Lewis said the steps were being taken in response to "the indefensible action of a handful of our employees."

Yes, a handful of ACORN employees were caught on tape advising a supposed pimp and prostitute on illegal activities.

However, those "handfuls" constitute more than just a few rogue staffers. I think the coast to coast sample indicates a significant and extremely troubling degree of corruption within the organization.

There have been too many cases of ACORN employees performing their jobs in an indefensible manner.

Why is it that whenever ACORN's employees are caught engaging in illegal behavior it's blamed on the individuals and not the organization?

These videos seal it. Combine them with all the other problems exposed regarding ACORN and voter registration. It's time for the group to be held accountable.

ACORN doesn't deserve to be awarded millions and millions in tax dollars.

No more federal funds.

Obama Hires MORE Clinton Team Players

UPDATE, November 29, 2008: Milwaukee native back in D.C., ready for key role in Obama administration
________________

What is this?

Bill Clinton's third term?

Where's the change?

Barack Obama's administration doesn't have a new, fresh look. It looks like Bill Clinton's White House.

From the Wall Street Journal:

Obama Hires More Clinton White House Veterans

President-elect Barack Obama continued to fill out staff positions for his incoming administration during the weekend, with many of the new appointees having Clinton White House pedigrees.

Gregory B. Craig, a former State Department official who also served as former President Bill Clinton's impeachment lawyer, will be named White House counsel, serving as Mr. Obama's chief lawyer, Democratic officials said.

Mr. Craig advised Mr. Obama on foreign policy during the presidential campaign and was one of the first prominent aides to Sen. Hillary Clinton to defect from her campaign during the primaries.

The Obama transition team also said Mr. Obama's former Senate chief of staff, Pete Rouse, will serve as a senior White House adviser. Mr. Rouse had previously been Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle's chief of staff before the South Dakotan's election defeat in 2002, and with Mr. Daschle's aid, he helped build Mr. Obama's Senate office.

Mona Sutphen, a former special assistant to Mr. Clinton's national-security adviser, Sandy Berger, was named deputy chief of staff. Ms. Sutphen had been a managing director of Stonebridge International LLC, an international consulting firm that advises multinational corporations. Another Stonebridge managing director, Michael Warren, is leading the transition's auditing team at the Treasury Department.

Jim Messina, a veteran Senate aide and Mr. Obama's campaign chief of staff, will also serve as White House deputy chief of staff. Phil Schiliro, a veteran House aide, will be the president's liaison to Congress.

The new names join a list that includes senior Clinton White House veterans, such as Rahm Emanuel, now Mr. Obama's White House chief of staff, and Ron Klain, a top aide to Vice President Al Gore who will be Vice President-elect Joe Biden's chief of staff.

I don't know about the wisdom of bringing on all these people from the Bill Clinton era.

I am concerned about "Mona Sutphen, a former special assistant to Mr. Clinton's national-security adviser, Sandy Berger."

Remember that Sandy Berger is very sloppy. Bill Clinton said so.

On the evening of Oct. 2, 2003, former White House national security adviser Samuel R. "Sandy" Berger stashed highly classified documents he had taken from the National Archives beneath a construction trailer at the corner of Ninth Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW so he could surreptitiously retrieve them later and take them to his office, according to a newly disclosed government investigation.

The documents he took detailed how the Clinton administration had responded to the threat of terrorist attacks at the end of 1999. Berger removed a total of five copies of the same document without authorization and later used scissors to destroy three before placing them in his office trash, the National Archives inspector general concluded in a Nov. 4, 2005, report.

After archives officials accused him of taking the documents, Berger told investigators, he "tried to find the trash collector but had no luck." But instead of admitting he had removed them deliberately -- by stuffing them in his suit pockets on multiple occasions -- Berger initially said he had removed them by mistake.

The fact that Berger, one of President Bill Clinton's closest aides from 1997 to 2001, illicitly removed the documents is well-known: A federal judge in September 2005 ordered him to pay a $50,000 fine for his actions and forfeit his security clearance for three years.

What Berger did, and the ham-handed and comical methods by which he did it, are freshly detailed in the National Archives report, which the Associated Press obtained first under a Freedom of Information Act request.

Although the report reiterates that Berger's main motive was to prepare himself for testifying before a commission investigating the Sept. 11 attacks, it makes clear that he not only sought to study the documents but also destroyed some copies and -- when initially confronted -- denied he had done so.

I wonder about Sutphen.

Did she keep a diary when she served as special assistant to Berger?

Didn't she have to fill out the Obama questionnaire?

(14) Diaries: If you keep or have ever kept a diary that contains anything that could suggest a conflict of interest or be a possible source of embarrassment to you, your family, or the President-Elect if it were made public, please describe.

(61) Have you had any association with any person, group or business venture that could be used - even unfairly - to impugn or attack your character and qualifications for government service?

I'm surprised the Obama team is comfortable with Obama's deputy chief of staff being someone who served closely with Berger.

I would think that association would qualify as an extreme embarrassment to Sutphen, her family, and the President-Elect.

________________

Here's more on Mona Sutphen:
Sutphen is a foreign policy expert who has had several federal government positions, including as an aide to Bill Richardson when he was ambassador to the United Nations. In that role, Sutphen helped conduct a 45-minute job interview with Lewinsky in late 1997 at the request of John Podesta, who had the same deputy White House chief of staff title for Clinton that she is about to fill for Obama.

The interview led to Sutphen's offering Lewinsky a job at Richardson's direction, shortly before the scandal was about to break publicly. Lewinsky ultimately declined the offer, but Sutphen's name ended up in the Starr Report because of the interview she conducted with Richardson and another one of his aides.

Sutphen most recently has been at Stonebridge International, an Washington-based consulting firm that advises multinational corporations on worldwide business opportunities. She has previously worked as a lobbyist for the firm and on behalf of food distributor Angliss International of London. Her brother is David Sutphen, a top entertainment industry lobbyist for Viacom and the Recording Industry Association of America.

Good grief!

How did Sutphen pass the Obama questionnaire?

She was tied to Bill Clinton's Monica Lewinsky - lying under oath - obstructing justice scandal.

She was a lobbyist and her brother CURRENTLY is a lobbyist.

Right. Barack is changing Washington. Sure he is.

ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK

Sean, at The American Mind, found what some libs had to say about John Roberts' wife and children.

The exchange took place on a Daily Kos thread.

He notes, "When Kossites decide to go after judicial nominee's kids they should first figure out if they're old enough to have done something damaging to their parents. Jack Roberts looks a little young to care about his sexuality and to be an addict."

I flashed back to John Podesta on Meet the Press last Sunday. Speaking of Joe Wilson, he said, unlike the compassionate, pure of heart Dems, all that the Republicans do is smear. "[I]t's just more of the same: attack, attack, attack."

Here's some lib smear:

(1.42 / 7)

When Roberts thanked his family, he mentioned his son, Jack...Roberts' wife's face fell. It was like a poker tell. I think we should research Jack.

Cooper Helps Exonerate Rove

In this week's Time, Matt Cooper does his best to lend a dramatic flair to his account of his grand jury apppearance.

What the "Get Rove" crowd will probably dismiss is the substance of what Cooper writes.

Some important excerpts:

1) "As for Wilson's wife, I told the grand jury I was certain that Rove never used her name and that, indeed, I did not learn her name until the following week, when I either saw it in Robert Novak's column or Googled her, I can't recall which."

2) "Rove never once indicated to me that she had any kind of covert status."

3) "So did Rove leak Plame's name to me, or tell me she was covert? No."

Why is it that the Dems and the MSM refuse to acknowledge what Cooper is saying?

They don't care about facts. They care about propping up the facade that Karl Rove is a criminal who endangered our national security.

It makes them look incredibly bitter and intellectually impotent.

I'll borrow John Podesta's phrasing from his appearance on yesterday's Meet the Press, and give it a twist:

If these liberal attack dogs had an ounce of character, they'd do the right thing and resign themselves to the fact that Rove is not guilty.

In the final analysis, the Dems' smear campaign may end up biting them at the ballot box.

Cooper Meets Russert

This morning on NBC's Meet the Press, Tim Russert interviewed Time's Matt Cooper.

It was an EXCLUSIVE!!!!!

NBC's been getting a lot of exclusives lately. First, Jamie Gangel was propping up Joe Wilson's lies on Today. Now, Russert has done his part to promote Cooper as some sort of hero in the Rove non-scandal.

I'm not familiar with Cooper, but he appeared nervous. His voice was shaky. He didn't come off like he did during his announcement last week that he had received a dramatic, eleventh hour waiver that would spare him jail time.

I don’t know why he would be nervous. It’s not as if Tim Russert isn’t on the "Rove is a crook" team.

Russert played the clip of Cooper revealing the "stunning set of developments," the waiver that released him from confidentiality.

Rove's lawyer, Robert Luskin, had given Cooper's lawyer that waiver nearly two years ago! Yeah---Stunning!

Russert quoted Luskin as saying how strange those theatrics were; but Cooper insisted that he believed he needed a personal waiver.

Apparently, Cooper is stupid and his lawyer sucks. It was a blanket waiver that anyone could understand. Cooper was released by Rove long ago, not that day, as initially reported.

Russert didn't bother to challenge Cooper on why he presented an old waiver as a "stunning set of developments."

I wasn't surprised.

Cooper brought up Judith Miller. He said she sits "in jail because she didn’t get a waiver she feels comfortable with."

What does that mean?

Russert acted like he hadn't heard it. He obviously didn't want to get anywhere near the weirdness of the Miller matter.

Russert ended the rather brief segment by asking what Cooper has learned by all of this. He replied that he needs to be "more discreet about emails."

When questioned if he believes this will affect his career, Cooper said, "No."

"Where is the investigation heading?"

"I just don’t know."

THE END

What a hard-hitting exclusive interview! Cooper speaks out for the first time!!!

Cooper said nothing. I'm sorry I didn't sleep in.

Next up: Ken Mehlman and John Podesta.

The anti-Rove push continued, but Mehlman did a good job of presenting the ridiculousness of the Dems and the MSM on this feeding frenzy.

One bizarre moment was when Russert asked if Mehlman would accept indictments if special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald hands one to Rove.

"Will you accept his decision?"

Mehlman said he's not a lawyer. He's just the chair of the RNC.

Russert rephrased the question: If Fitzgerald indicts WH officials, will you pledge today you won’t criticize his decision?

Mehlman said it’s all speculation, but reiterated that he has confidence in Fitzgerald. It took three times, with Mehlman giving the same response, before Russert moved on. He obviously was looking to get a juicy sound bite for later use.

Podesta was his usual abrasive self.

He said, "If [Rove] had an ounce of character, he'd do the right thing and resign."

Every time Podesta spoke, he smeared Rove and called for him to leave the WH.

Russert pressed Mehlman. He showed a clip of David Gregory badgering Scott McClellan.

Mehlman said that facts have shown Rove was not the source of the leak, that the information "exonerates and vindicates, not implicates."

Still, Russert kept trying to chip away at the credibility of the White House, that McClellan said Rove wasn't involved when he was.

Mehlman said Rove wasn’t involved in a LEAK.

Podesta yapped that he was.

He used that familiar line: "The American people know that."

Mehlman pointed out that Wilson misled the public about who sent him to Niger, about what he found, about issue after issue.

Rather than address that, Wilson's complete lack of credibility, Russert insinuated that if this was a Dem scandal, the Republicans would be jumping all over it. He wanted to know what the RNC would be saying in that case.

Mehlman replied, "We wouldn’t be smearing for political gain."

Podesta just kept pushing the line, "Mr. Rove did not tell the truth." He also managed to get the exact death toll in Iraq into his comments about Rove.

When asked if Rove will survive, Mehlman said he would.

Podesta said, "I don’t think he should. He’s hurting the President."

Although it was two against one, I think Mehlman won on substance. Without question. Nonetheless, I'm sure the foaming at the mouth Dems will view it another way. Rove is the Antichrist to them. Facts are irrelevant.

To cap off the program, Woodward and Bernstein showed up to hawk their Deep Throat book.

The irony was remarkable. The past two segments had focused on the "Rove is a crook and a leaker" theory.

Then, in a sharp 180, one of American history's most infamous leakers, Mark Felt, was depicted as a hero.

By the end of the show, Russert was positively giddy.

If it’s Sunday, it’s "Meet the Anti-Bush Administration Press."

Paul Begala Aids Conservative Movement

Since the early days of 1998, when Paul Begala popped up everywhere to insist that his boss, Bill Clinton, was being victimized by a Republican hit squad, the guy has bugged me.

It's not just what he says. It's how he says it.

Begala's address to the first-ever Campus Progress National Student Conference cements my opinion.

The conference was designed to "provide campus liberals with the tools necessary to fight the conservative movement."

How crazy is that?

If one is looking for an environment that validates and promotes leftist ideology, one needs to go no further than the nearest college campus. These young libs certainly don't need strategies for fighting conservatives ON campus, since the libs dominate the system.

Undoubtedly, this conference set out to indoctrinate an army of activists to fight conservatives outside the sheltered liberal walls of academia.

In addition to Begala, Bill Clinton attended the event. He, of course, is a hero to these young liberals.

After all, as they were coming of age, Bill helped redefine sex for them with his "oral sex isn't sex" initiative.

I digress.

CNS News reports:

A panel discussion entitled "Winning the War of Ideas" centered on topics discussed in the book "What's the Matter with Kansas" by Thomas Frank and detailed the challenges that Democrats face in persuading voters in the American heartland and elsewhere to embrace their agenda and support their candidates.

Begala's presence on the panel created a stir when he declared that Republicans had "done a p***-poor job of defending" the U.S.

Republicans, he said, "want to kill us.

"I was driving past the Pentagon when that plane hit" on Sept. 11, 2001. "I had friends on that plane; this is deadly serious to me," Begala said.

"They want to kill me and my children if they can. But if they just kill me and not my children, they want my children to be comforted -- that while they didn't protect me because they cut my taxes, my children won't have to pay any money on the money they inherit," Begala said. "That is bulls*** national defense, and we should say that."

If Begala thinks that line is a good weapon in his arsenal to fight off conservatives, he's more out of touch with middle America than I realized.

The Clinton administration's national security efforts involved the right blend of "experience" and "strength," Begala said, an assertion with which the 9/11 Commission apparently disagreed.

In its report, the bipartisan commission stated that "each president considered or authorized covert actions, a process that consumed considerable time -- especially in the Clinton administration -- and achieved little success beyond the collection of intelligence."

Begala also included Republican domestic policies in his sweeping criticism. The GOP, he said, "ain't had a new idea since they opposed Social Security, and guess what, they still do. ... They are beginning to figure out that there is no Soviet Union, but they still want Star Wars to stop it," Begala said.

Remember, Begala is spewing this garbage to a group of impressionable young people. He is completely distorting the truth. The Dems are the ones without ANY ideas.

As far as "Star Wars" goes, recent statements from China about nuking the U.S. makes defensive measures look awfully good right now.

Only someone like Begala would say the Strategic Defense Initiative is intended to stop the Soviet Union.

Is Begala really that stupid? Or, is he really that desperate that he's willing to throw out the truth to advance his party?

"Okay, they are utterly and completely brain-dead," echoing comments earlier this year by Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean, who accused Republicans of being "brain dead."

That really helps to set a more civil tone in political debate, doesn't it? Right...

Frank insisted that Republicans are not quite as tough on national security as many Americans think.

...Frank defended his point...claiming that Republicans didn't see Hitler as a threat to America until Pearl Harbor.

He repeated the Democratic criticism of America's invasion of Iraq. Saddam Hussein "was a horrible (sic), a dictator, a butcher, a tyrant, a mass murderer -- as evil as they come," Frank said, but he added: "I don't think he was a threat to the U.S. at the time."

This Frank guy sounds like a real piece of work.

In one breath he bashes Republicans on WWII in order to show that Dems are as tough as they are on defense. In the very next breath, he illustrates that he doesn't get the War on Terror, nor does he understand the necessity of spreading freedom to oppressed people as key to peace in the world.

Making the argument that the U.S. and its coalition should have left Saddam and his henchmen alone won't do much to fight conservatism. Frank obviously doesn't understand fly-over country.

Former Clinton administration Chief of Staff John Podesta told the students that "you can fight hard for what you believe without breaking the law, without cheating and certainly without checking your morals at the door."

Is that a reference to the young libs on campuses across the country that did cheat and break the law when they took part in the corrupt New Voters Project?

In terms of checking morals at the door, it sounds like the young libs in attendance needed to do that if they were to accept any of Begala's drivel.

The Campus Progress National Student Conference probably succeeded in giving some young liberals reinforcement to hate conservatives.

However, as an effort to provide them with tactics to lure Republican voters to the Democratic side, it failed miserably.

Radical left-wing, MoveOn style rhetoric does not fight conservatism.

It serves to recruit more conservatives.
